Technology in Speech-Language Therapy: Evaluation and Integration of iPads and iOS Apps

A workshop entitled, "Technology in Speech-Language Therapy: Evaluation and Integration of iPads and iOS Apps" will be presented on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, from 5:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at our office located at 977 Main Street, Waltham, MA 02451. The speaker will be Karen Waddill, a practicing speech-language pathologist and assistive technology professional.

This workshop provides theoretical and practical knowledge related to using iPads and iOS apps. A brief overview of assistive technology and current research in mobile technology for therapy opens the session. A combination of lecture, videos and demonstration is used to share information about iOS apps from targeted categories (Executive Function, Social Cognition, Self Regulation, Apraxia).

This program is offered for 0.2 CEUs (Intermediate level: Professional area).
