We hope you will join us for Art Expo 2017: The World Through My Eyes on Thursday, April 20 and Friday, April 21 at the IUPUI Campus Center in Indianapolis! Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the featured artists during our Opening Ceremony from 6:30 - 8:00 PM on April 20th, with a full show running on April 21st from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Held every April, the Art Expo is designed to provide a glimpse into the minds of individuals with ASD who utilize art as a means of expression given some of the social and communicative challenges that ASD presents.
Artists with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) interested in having their artwork (including paintings, drawings, sculpture, mixed media, photography, poetry/spoken word, recorded musical pieces, and digital media, to name a few) displayed at the event are encouraged to click here to submit their pieces!
Classrooms, teams, community groups, and clubs are also invited to submit a special collaborative piece! HANDS will provide a visual schedule, choice board, guidelines, and materials (if requested) to guide individuals through the project.
